taxi drivers becoming an endangered species

malaysian taxis are among the worst in the world, claims a survey by a local magazine - The Expat. the topic was discussed on air via Fly Fm this morning. cool. i couldnt agree more. the drivers are worst in every single details. from the overcharging fare to the way they drive. completely appalling!

i cant complaint much on the overcharing fare cos i hardly take a taxi or any other means of public transportation to anywhere now. huhu. but i did experience times ago, when a taxi driver overcharged me. it was from komuter sj to summit usj. all the taxi drivers there deliberately refuse to use the taxi's meter. from the survey result, i bet its still going on. commuters have no choice but to take their cabs due to urgency. especially during rush hour. *sigh*, i've been there and i pity them.

secondly, i just hate the way they (taxi drivers) drive. its killing me. this is what happen when they spend too much time on the wheels. roads have been their 'homes' and comfort zones. sometimes they didn't even realized that they actually endangered other drivers. they stop as they wish by the road to pick-up passangers. turn left & right, u-turn without signals (well, this one goes to almost all crazy drivers out there, except me-lah! haha). old taxi drivers will drive annoyingly pathetic like nobody business. tak percaya? you'll see. just wait for your turn to come. :-)

taxi drivers are not 'all-the-above-mentioned'. this i know. tapi, bak kata pepatah "akibat nila setitik, habis susu sebelanga".

go figure!
