couldn't be bothered

in the office and bz since morning. i thought of sending my car to the service centre but had to change my mind since one of my staffs is on EL. i had expected this since yesterday she was on AL. dughh!

im taking a 5 min-break. huhu. while im typing this, few colleagues of mine gathered near my work station and gossiping about datuk sri anwar + mohd saiful bukhari azlan (opps!). wow! so many versions were blurted out. the conversation was so detail and very intriguing. i wanted to join them but i decided not to. its best that i stay-glued on my chair. the 'story' was rather HOT & SPICY, but im not writing any. hehe. this kind of news are controversial and it could lead to a misinterpretation. so, everything that i've heard - masuk telinga kiri, keluar telinga kanan-lah!

honestly, i couldnt be bothered. this 'sodomy' thingy is not even worth of my 2 cents. boley?

sini, cc dan nyonya

we have a cat named SINI at tt. tihah got 'him' somewhere and brought him home. thanks a lot tihah for bringing the new member in our family. huhu. this was taken in april 2008.

this is SINI now. 2 months later! he's pretty, naughty and cocky.

this is CC. short for crazy cat. hihi. CC is baby's little cat. he reminds me a lot of baby opal windixie.

and this is definitely not a cat. its called 'a nyonya in texas' by lee su kim. i bought at MPH summit this afternoon. cost me rm29.90. i wanted to buy 'eat pray love' too, but its already out of stock. i had to place an order and it might available next week. cool.
its 11:20pm and i think its time to hit the bed!
gnite.

baby, fatin, kakak & tihah

baby (bertudung) and fatin.

kakak (in black) and tihah.

always proud of them. hope they grow up fine and be stunning ladies. hehe.

sunday - kenduri

sunday - 290608

am - got up at almost 8am. there were loads to do. did i mention in my last entry that we're gonna have a 'kenduri doa selamat' on sunday? no? huhu. nways, kak long had asked apak (my super daddy) to invite ahli masjid and the muslim neigbours to our home for the kenduri. i actually got to know about the kenduri kinda last minute. its just a small kenduri. nothing extraordinary. everything was sponsored by kak long. blessed her.

the kenduri went as planned. it started at 11.30am and finished at almost zohor. although it was raining heavily, yet quite a big crowd turned up. cool.

pm - i was quite tired after the kenduri. i bet kak long, kak lang, kak yus, mom and few other makciks were knackered too. i heard that mom got up at 3.00am to prepare the food. wow! but the effort was worth it as the food was cooked deliciously. huhu. it was basically a 'homemade cooking'. simple yet appetizing. we had nasik putih + ikan kembong goreng + ayam goreng + sambal udang petai + lemak sayur betik + daging kari + agar-agar + air sirap + air teh panas.
8-)

pm - at 3pm, i decided to pack-up my stuff and decided to make a move back to KL. felt kinda sad to leave tanjung tualang (tt). my weekend was flying fast. argghh! it was still raining when i left tt. in infact, it was raining the whole journey from tt to KL. heh. but it was a smooth sailing drive as there were not many cars on the hi-way. thank god! i reached KL at 6-ish. still feeling tired but with a big smile on my face. i truely had a really jolly-good weekend with my family.

saturday - kampung kfc

saturday - 280608

am - left ampang at 9am. drove to sj to fetch kak long. kak ngah must've sent her there. she waited for me at carrefour sj. i was a bit late. huhu. i reached sj at 10-ish. from sj, i took her to bkt subang (bs). just to show her the apartments that i was talking about. just in case if she decides to live with me. kak long didnt really give her 'say' just yet. hmm. takpe lah. left bs at 11am and drove up north via gutheri and plus hi-way. reached tanjung tualang (tt) - my beloved kampung halaman at 1pm.

noon - the weather was incredibly hot in tt! but still i eat, watch tele and sleep. these three are the fav things that i wld do while im at my parent's house. hehe. not that healthy but who cares dude! around 6-ish, i took my nieces -kakak, baby, fatin and tihah - to kampar and we had KFC. prior that we stopped over at kak lang's house for some 'errands' and kedai VCD (just infront of KFC). baby bought 2 vcds - kuntilanak and chongkak! fyi, my family members are really into horror movies.

pm - still hot and stuffy. but i already felt sleepy at 10pm. had to hold the thought as i was 'assigned' to pick-up kak yus at hotel kampar. she finished her afternoon shift at 11pm. baby volunteered to accompany me (thanks sweetie). driving along those dark and gloomy road from tt - tronoh mines - kampar (20 mins drive) can be quite a 'twilight-zone-experience' especially if you're alone. heh! alhamdulillah, the journey was smooth (to and fro).

am - from hotel kampar we reached home almost 12midnite. everybody was fast asleep. i didnt eat anything since KFC so i felt kinda hungry. but i was not alone. kak yus and baby were hungry too. hihi. so, kak yus decided to make nasik goreng. she also fried some ikan bilis and telur. sliced some timun and tomato. yummy! the nasik goreng was simple but yet it was the best-super-licious ever! thanks kak yus. we ate infront of tele while watching chongkak. aci dak? :-)

about 2-ish, we called the nite off. gnite kak yus. gnite baby pumpkin.

eat pray love

i just watched 'Oprah Winfrey Show' on Hallmark Ch702. she invited Elizabeth Gilbert, the writer of "eat pray love" to her show. the book was published in 2006. it was a best seller in the US and received outstanding reviews. most of Oprah's audiences claimed that they were inspired, had sense of 'freedom' and absorbed perfection in their lives after reading the book. absolutely amazing!

let's check out to some of the reviews :

1. "This is a wonderful book, brilliant and personal, rich in spiritual insight, filled with sorrow and a great sense of humor. Elizabeth Gilbert is everything you would love in a tour guide, of magical places she has traveled to both deep inside and across the oceans: she's wise, jaunty, human, ethereal, hilarious, heartbreaking, and God, does she pay great attention to the things that really matter."

2. "Spilling out of this funny (and profound) circus car of a book are dozens of mesmerizing characters, people you'll envy Liz Gilbert for finding, valuing, loving and, I couldn't help noticing, joining for irresistible meals. I've never read an adventure quite like one, where a writer packs up her entire life and takes it on the road."

3. "Elizabeth Gilbert takes us on pilgrimage, with the humor, insight and charm that only come with honest self-revelation and good writing."

i gotta have this book. totally!

my hp is 'shagged'

arghhhh! my 'beautiful state-of-the-art' (hehe) hp is 'shagged'. it doesnt work that well anymore. im kinda piss, sad and frustrated. is it time to get a new one?
emm. not at this moment-lah. i will still use it until its totally shagged and shaiiit. huhu.
:-(

option 2 - pangsapuri melor

pangsapuri melor is the a-bit-high-maintenance aparment. it has security guard and the design is more beautiful and modern compares to the low cost. huhu.

nways, i already called the owner and he said his unit is vacant. located on level 4 (paling atas sekali kot?) and the rental is RM450 (negotiable). i have made appointment to see him next week, monday.

tough choice jgk kan? hehe.

btw, i came across this url : http://www.bukitsubang.com/mbbs22/category-view.asp
this website is developed to help build a knowledged community and to convey / share infromation to residents of Bukit Subang.

option 1 - pangsapuri teratai

pangsapuri teratai bukit subang - i tried calling but to no avail. but when i sent text messages, he or she responded. "sewa sebulan RM350. deposit 2 bulan sewa. bulan pertama dan akhir. api dan air RM200. semua RM900". when i got that sms, i called immediately. still no answer. emmm. so i sent her a text message to say that i'd be interested to see the house.

but later in the evening i got a message - "sorry ya! masa awak sms, akak tengah mengaji. ok. kalau nak tengok umah tu, boleh. dah tahu ke kat mana umah akak? umah ada 3 bilik. ada 2 bilik air. kalau berminat, boleh masuk Julai ni".

cool!

teratai is the low cost apartment. to me, it doesnt really matter. im not that particular. as long as the house's condition is top notch and clean with a friendly neighbourhood, that'll do.

so, my first option would be pangsapuri teratai.

taxi drivers becoming an endangered species

malaysian taxis are among the worst in the world, claims a survey by a local magazine - The Expat. the topic was discussed on air via Fly Fm this morning. cool. i couldnt agree more. the drivers are worst in every single details. from the overcharging fare to the way they drive. completely appalling!

i cant complaint much on the overcharing fare cos i hardly take a taxi or any other means of public transportation to anywhere now. huhu. but i did experience times ago, when a taxi driver overcharged me. it was from komuter sj to summit usj. all the taxi drivers there deliberately refuse to use the taxi's meter. from the survey result, i bet its still going on. commuters have no choice but to take their cabs due to urgency. especially during rush hour. *sigh*, i've been there and i pity them.

secondly, i just hate the way they (taxi drivers) drive. its killing me. this is what happen when they spend too much time on the wheels. roads have been their 'homes' and comfort zones. sometimes they didn't even realized that they actually endangered other drivers. they stop as they wish by the road to pick-up passangers. turn left & right, u-turn without signals (well, this one goes to almost all crazy drivers out there, except me-lah! haha). old taxi drivers will drive annoyingly pathetic like nobody business. tak percaya? you'll see. just wait for your turn to come. :-)

taxi drivers are not 'all-the-above-mentioned'. this i know. tapi, bak kata pepatah "akibat nila setitik, habis susu sebelanga".

go figure!

smart vs idiot TAG

1. smartTAG is the Malay acronym for “Sistem Membayar Automatic Rangkaian Tol,” or literally means Automatic Payment System For Toll Network. it is a vehicle on-board unit that works in combination with the Touch ‘n Go card to allow user to pay toll with drive-through convenience. smartTAG transmits information between the Touch ‘n Go card and the toll system via infrared at the dedicated lane. the system can detect a vehicle as fast as 40 milliseconds and vehicle throughput is 4 times faster than cash lane.

2. the recommended vehicle speed is 40km/h while entering the dedicated SmartTAG lane. vehicles with tinted windscreen are advised to reduce speed limit to 20km/h due to the interference of infrared from the UV reflective polyester film.

3. some idiot drivers actually speed like crazy while entering SmartTAG lane, eventho' they are told to slow down so that the system could detact their vehicles. when there is system error, cars will be 'piled-up' causing massive jam at the so-called fast lane. i just hate when this happen.

4. so.. dont use IdiotTAG pls!

ani sup utara & kek 'basi' giant

just now after bkt subang, we went to seksyen 9 shah alam for dinner. we decided to eat at ani sup utara. i ordered nasik putih + sup ayam + teh o ice limau (not in the pix.. hehe) + one small bungkus of nasik lemak. lapar siot.

this photo was taken yesterday at R&R Kinrara. remember the kek 'basi' giant? so next time you're at giant and decides to buy a cake, please.. please dont judge a 'cake' by its beautiful cover taw. haha!

looking for that new 'crib' - 2

the site visit went well. jai, md amid and hisham tagged along with me. we left office at almost 6pm. along the way from sj to bkt subang was quite jammed but moving. too many cars and too many traffic lights. huhu. im sure there is other alternative! nways, we finally arrived bkt subang few minutes to 7pm.

the residential areas in bkt subang is quite near to the Gutheri Hiway heading up north. very new, green and the place is tidy clean. full of big and beautiful terrace houses, high-maintenance apartments and low-cost apartments. i'm aiming for the low-cost apartments of course. hehe. tak kisah la kan? i'm just gonna rent it not own it.

i thought the surrounding was just nice cause it has school, surau, kedai dobi, barbers, 7-eleven, petronas gas station and gerai makan (etc). its about 10 minutes drive (depends on traffic) to giant and tesco extra shah alam. i think it will take me about 20 mins to my office at sj (this is just a rough estimation). of course its far from KL city centre and all that happening civilisation places out there but thats not really important. rapid KL is also available but not too sure of the routes though. so, its not a bad place to live in right?

thanks to jai and md amid for getting the add's contact numbers at 7-eleven and bus stop. hehe. i will call the owners tomorrow and later on check which aparment would suit me best. i could use some assistance in making the right decision. huhu.

whatever it is, i will take my time to decide. no rush and no pressure. at the end of the day, it is me who's gonna live in that 'crib'. whether you like it or not!

:-)

looking for that new 'crib'

after work today, im gonna start looking for that new apartment at bukit subang - shah alam. its closer to my office. i think i'll be saving quite a lot if i stay there. huhu. i've been doing some 'reseach' via the internet. i did some callings too but i have yet to actually go there and look at the aparment.

so, i guess today seems a good day for a site-visit. i might ask hisham to accompany me. a friend of mine, ungku hakimi, actually stays there. he owns quite a big house at bukit subang but unfortunately he's not free today. he's given me the directions and i think i roughly know where it is.

i might be staying alone or i'll ask kak long to join me. kak long's office is very near to shah alam's stadium, so i think she'd love it. we'll see how things go la.

another 'cash-flowin'-out-like-water' month for me. arghhh!

june 22

its my birthday...

i celebrated in singapore. (yeah right!) well, just the AM portion-lah. and then most of the time spent on a bus rides back to KL. along the way i received phone calls from my parents and siblings wishing me a happy birthday. so sweet. and friends sent me text messages too. blessed. hehe.

and today - 24 june 2008,

1. thanks sue and junie (her birthday was on 23 june - happy birthday to you too dear junie!) cos belanja makan kat secret recipe summit at lunch time.

2. cheers to jai, md amid and hisham for satay at R&R Kinrara after work just now. thanks so much to jai for buying a cake. unfortunately, the cake that jai bought at giant this afternoon was already 'expired' and 'masam'. hehe. so we couldnt eat it. but, never mind-lah. the thought that counts the most kan?

3. left R&R Kinrara and headed on to KY. thanks so much to ejam, mitch, shah and eirul for buying me two lovely cakes from secret recipe and 'jusco'. i 'ta-pau' satay for them and had another round of 'makan' at KY. huhu. burrrpppp...! (excuse me)

im so blessed to have family and friends that cares so much about me. you guys totally rock! love you guys so much. muahhh...!

*sigh*, today was great. i hope tomorrow would be even better.

g'nite!

half price, singapore surprise

the trip was short. nothin' much. lots of walking. sweating. eating. drinking. shopping (?). but i did buy something at Robinsons tho'. thanks to that sweet malay lady at singapore tourism centre (STC) who gave us (me and ejam) two sets of Robinsons voucher worth $20 each. we immediately marched on to Robinsons and bought ourselves some t-shirts. cool. huhu.

other than that, we took a ride on duck-tour and singapore flyer. cost us RM60 for both rides. duck-tour was a combined city and harbour tour without the hassle of switching craft. it was kinda fun. the flyer capsule was awesome too. you could see the whole of singapore and from up there you'll realize how small the country is. 8-)

we stayed at the Fragrance Sapphire Hotel in Geylang. the nearest MRT (about 15min walk) is Kallang. its a small hotel (2 stars??) but quite cozy and clean. we paid $79 per nite. a bit too expensive and definitely i wont be staying there on the next visit. hehe.

the singapore national day is on the 9th August, but yet there were massive rehearsals going on at Marina Bay last saturday. mmg hebat!

no photos attached with this entry. sorry uols. i will put some photos when i got 'em from ejam. i didnt bring my digi-cam that day. macam malas nak bawak. boleh tak? so, had to menumpang with ejams lah.

thats it, i think. pretty plain 'half price, singapore surprise' dont you think?

live to tell by madonna

I have a tale to tell
Sometimes it gets so hard to hide it well
I was not ready for the fall
Too blind to see the writing on the wall

A man can tell a thousand lies
I've learned my lesson well
Hope I live to tell
The secret I have learned, 'till then
It will burn inside of me

I know where beauty lives
I've seen it once, I know the warm she gives
The light that you could never see
It shines inside, you can't take that from me

The truth is never far behind
You kept it hidden well
If I live to tell
The secret I knew then

Will I ever have the chance again
If I ran away, I'd never have the strength
To go very far
How would they hear the beating of my heart

Will it grow cold
The secret that I hide, will I grow old
How will they hear
When will they learn
How will they know

i grew up listening to most of madonna's songs. huhu. love her a lot! really adore her concerts. i watched madonna's Confessions on the Dance Floor concert on channel [V] rated weekends some time ago. it was awesome!

Live to Tell is the first single by Madonna from her 3rd studio album True Blue and was released on March 26, 1986. It is the title song to the 1986 motion picture At Close Range and also appears remixed on the 1990 compilation album The Immaculate Collection and in its original form on the 1995 ballads compilation Something to Remember.

room 403

eventho' i had loads to do in the office, but i decided to leave office early. left at 4pm. tried not to show my worries about kak long during meeting, during lunch at mcdonald's with jai, md amid and hisham. but somehow or rather, i guessed they must've noticed my restlessness.

nways, i reached SJMC almost half 4. i parked my car quite a distance from the south tower. it was near the 'lake' parking lot. they have shifted the space as there is a construction going on. dughh! just like PPUM. it was drizzling, so i took my 'jeep' umbrella with me. it was quite a walk from the parking lot to the south towers. huhu. once i reached south tower, i quickly went down to lobby area. dashed out to the nearest 7-eleven and bought a couple of 100-plus for kak long. came back in and headed on to the 4th floor. kak long is warded in room 403.

she's sharing the room with a chinese girl, also a dengue patient. kak long was resting when i arrived. i was happy to see her smiling and talking. she looked much better than the day that i fetched her up at PPUM. she was telling me her condition and stuff. she had no fever. her bp was ok. her blood platelet count was still normal. she's starting to eat, eventho' not that much. we just talked and watching tele. it was a great. im glad that she's getting better and hopefully she would be released in couple of days. Insya'Allah.

i left SJMC about 7-ish. my other siblings were on their way to SJMC when i left. malas nak tunggu diorang. hihi. it was a relieve to know that kak long is fine. i will definitely give her all the moral support that she needs. what a little brother is for kan? huhu.

btw, thanks to all the wishes guys!

Wednesday, June 18, 2008

thank god... its thursday!

another meeting this morning at 10am. arghh...! had to 'chair' this really 'complicated' and 'long-winded' meeting that involved me, jai and hisham. not only i chaired the meeting, i had to take minutes of meeting too. memang shaiiit! while in the discussion, kak long sent me a text message. she's at SJMC. waiting for a room to be admitted. emm. i immediately text her back. she replied that she's fine but doctor insisted to 'keep' her for at least 24hr monitoring.

i just hope she's really ok. nak balik awal-lah. nak melawat kak long.

cian dia kan?

hyper ballad by Björk

We live on a mountain
Right at the top
Theres a beautiful view
From the top of the mountain
Every morning
I walk towards the edge
And throw little things off
Like:Car-parts, bottles and cutlery
Or whatever I find lying around

Its become a habit
A way
To start the day
I go through all this
Before you wake up
So I can feel happier
To be safe up here with you

Its real early morning
No-one is awakeIm back at my cliff
Still throwing things off
I listen to the sounds they make
On their way down
I follow him with my eyes till they crash
Imagine what my body would sound like
Slamming against those rocks

When it lands
Will my eyes
Be closed or open?

I go through all this
Before you wake up
So I can feel happier
To be safe up here with you

i was introduced to Björk by suzie - my younger sister, decade ago. personally, i found Björk works were (and still is) rather weird, interesting and surprisingly amazing. be it melodically or lyrics. this is an album that most of my friends would be surprised to know that i actually have one. 8-)

hyper balled is a song by Björk, released as the fourth single from her 1995 album Post. In the lyrics, she talks about waking in early before her boyfriend and throwing small objects off a cliff, watching them smash. She imagines her body in their places, which makes her feel better about returning to her safe home and the arms of her lover. hyper ballad was the song receiving most votes from Björk fans on the overall survey for her Greatest Hits album's song list.

happy and sad... sequel

it turned out that kak long had a slight dengue fever. not a good news though. but at least its not as bad as i thought. all she needs to do now is keep taking her medications and drink lots of water. i bought her bottles of 100-plus and hopefully it'll help to ease down her fever. insya'Allah.

i spent almost all morning at PPUM. i didnt even get the chance to join the meeting at 10am. but thats ok. while waiting, i walked around. checking out places. looking at people. bumped into patients on stretchers and wheelchairs. not a good sight. its kinda sad to seem them in that conditions. feeling blessed for being healthy and hope to stay this way for the rest of my life. amin!

PPUM is still having this re-construction and development going on. parking lots are always full. road condition is bumpy and bad. lobang sana-sini. you could actually have a head-ache if you spend too much time here. hehe. im not complaining but i think its important for PPUM to get things ready rather soon. i bet lots of patients and visitors are grumbling. i know i did.

its still scrotching hot tonite. the fan doesnt seem to cool me down even at maximum speed. please rain...!

happy and sad

it was rather a hectic day in the office . i was pretty tight up with loads of stuff from am to pm. from one meeting to another. from subang jaya to etiqa towers. my list of things to do is getting longer and im pretty excited actually. hehe. my meeting at etiqa ended at 6-ish. hisham was in that meeting too. i dragged him with me. hihi. sorry mate!

after meeting, we decided to have dinner at KLCC. we went to Madam Kwan's and it was pretty quiet when we arrived. lots of free tables to choose from. but after 15min later, the place was packed jam. wow! hebat ya! anways, i ordered ice lemon tea (recommended by the hostess named rohani), mushroom fried rice (sebijik mcm nasik ayam) and 'curry ayam' as side dish. the curry was very pekat and likat. yummy! hisham ordered fried rice (quite a big portion too!) and of course, the recommended ice lemon tea. cool. MK is not really my kind of makan place. but, layan je la.

we left MK at 7-ish and went our separate ways. i headed on to Tower Records. i was surprised to know that Tower Records is having its closing-down sales! i thot that TR might want to move to new premise or something, but the cashier told me that its shutting down. big time! emmm. whatever! i wandered around and bumped into Destiny's Child "Destiny Fulfilled"'s CD. without hesitation i grabbed it and marched toward the counter. "brapa ni dik?" i asked. the cashier bluntly said "dpt 70% bang". yesss! Destiny Fulfilled only cost me RM13. aint that great?

on my way to the parking lot, kak long called. said she's having a bad fever since Friday. this is not a good sign. she just finished with her treatment and therapy couple of weeks ago. she asked me to fetch her at UH tomorrow morning. i hope its just a normal fever and that she's OK. kak ngah will send her off to UH first thing in the morning. then after kak long's done, i will get her and send her home. please god, let her be ok ya. please... please!

guess what? i will have a meeting at 10 tomorrow. i just realised this. erm. macam mana tuh? *sigh* whatever it is, kak long comes first right?

it must've been almost 40 degress celcius out there. hehe. ejam, mitch, shah and me was 'lepaking' at KY for dinner and its was scorching hot! i drank lots of ice water but i was still dripping with persparation. boley? huhu.

lets pray that it will rain soon and cool the nite off.

gnite!

tummy cram and bloating

its friday and i was on medical leave. i had diarrhea. darn!

it started late last nite. i didnt eat anything since i got home from work yesterday. perhaps because i was too happy that i could start my car and drove home safe? huhu. or perhaps i was just too lazy to go out for dinner.

the only meal that i took yesterday was lunch - nasi putih + sayur + ikan + air kosong. then hisham bought (cheers mate) me vanilla latte and blueberry cheese muffin from coffee bean. that was about 2-ish. from that hour until midnite, i didnt take anything. i only drank plain water.

i had 'gas' in between the hours and i thot that was normal. hehe. i hit the bed at almost 12am. woke up at 1am with a terrible tummy-ache and dashed to the bathroom. the pain was unbearable. sat in the toilet-bowl for almost 15 mins. when it was over, i felt totally weak. quickly i ran down to the kitchen. opened the fridge and hoping there was something to eat but none. shaiit! grabbed a bottle of water and went up to bed. couple of hours later, the ordeal began again, and again. tidaaaak! my housemate was not at home and i was too weak to drive to the clinic. oh God! please make the pain go away. please.. please. Alhamdullilah. it stopped at almost 5-ish. phewww!

i was too knackered and too weak that i passed out. i woke up at almost 8am. still feeling weak but i forced myself and off i went to Klinik KITA. Dr Samad Kandar examined me and said that i had bad stomach cram and bloating. pants!!

he then gave me all sorts of pills for my tummy-ache and granted a one day medical leave. he also told me to quickly grab something to eat. i did as i was told. after that i went home and slept the whole day. i needed the rest.

im feeling much better now. i've learned my lesson. no more skipping breakfast, lunch or dinner. of course i have to eat healthy food-lah. and a lot of exercise too. :-)

its 12:25am and im still wide awake. while typing this entry, im watching my all time favorite movie - the Fifth Elementh. ahaks..

have a great weekend people!

what a cutie...

i just love that big blue eyes... ! gerrrrrrrrrrrrram.

i love my car!

i had quite a bz day in the office today. i logged out at almost half 6 and took the lift to B3 where i parked my car. the parking was still full. wow! im impressed. huhu. staff HTP memang rajin-rajin belaka. bagus!

as i wanted to start up my car, it wont start. arghh... not again. i had the same experience last year after berbuka puasa at Maju Junction's parking lot. all i could hear was a 'click' but the engine didnt turn. shaiiit! battery kong? it cant be? i changed to new battery less than a year ago. i had to leave my car at MJ's parking overnite because it happend on sunday. go figure! called few mechanics but none came to the rescue. next day had to come back to MJ and waited for this mechanic (recommended by a friend) to deliver the new battery. i still remember that the mechanic guy came almost an hour late. the worst part was he over-charged me! arghhh..! its quite easy actually to change the car battery youself. i observed what the guy did and i think i could do it. really? huhu.

anyways, there was i 'terkial-kial' alone at B3. i checked my battery water. still at its 'normal' level where the water touches the bottom of the refill hole. i checked at all the cables on the battery and they're still intact. and at that moment, i was really hoping someone would come to the rescue cos i didnt really have a clue what was going on? hehe.

so i decided to close the front bonnet and got into my car. while deciding what to do next, i just put my left hand on the auto gear shift handle. kinda 'fingering' on the push button for no reasons. huhu. then i noticed that it was loose. when i parked my car this morning, i didnt properly pushed the auto gear all the way to P (yes, im driving an automatic car). so i adjusted it. started up the engine and... YESSS it worked! fuhhhh. that was really close!

i was already dripping with persperation cos it was so fcukin' hot down there in B3. im so glad i didnt have to leave my car overnite (again) and hitched a ride home. Alhamdulillah!

i love my car. i do...

its between Kg Pandan and Taman Maluri. look out for KIA / NAZA show room or IKM and Klinik Kesihatan Kg Pandan. you definitely can't miss it.

hope the above info helps!

uniquely singapore .. postponed!

i hereby announced that the visit to uniquely singapore has been postponed to 20 to 22 june 2008. huhu.

22 june is a very important and a big day for me! my parents would definitely know why.

8-)

kedai batu

right after 6-ish, i dashed out and headed on to kedai batu near desa pandan. there, i met up with hisham, abg usop, jai and md amid. KB has been our favorites and we would normally go here once a week (after work) just to rilex, unwind and talk about stuff. :-)

kedai batu aka KB is another makan place (near where i stay) that i would highly recommend. nothing extra-ordinary about KB, its just special in its own way. people surrounding areas would go to KB to eat and hang-out. the one that i find interesting and unique about KB is that most stalls serve BIG portion of food. be it nasik goreng, mee goreng, nasik ayam. you ORDER it, you got it BIG dude! hehe.

i was introduced to KB by ejam. cheers mate! and then i introduced KB to my KY's buddies -mitch, shah, eirul and aj. huhu. they too love it here. i would recommend for you to try the KB's satay, BIG portion of nasik goreng ayam, nasik ayam, mee bandung and that special teh 'o' ais limau from aziz dolmat's stall. superb!

you wanna know why its called KB? hehe. why dont you go there and check it out.

pergilah ke KB! ahaks...

parfums

last weekend (saturday), i tagged along with ejam and went shopping at mid valley. ejam had a long list of things to buy and i had none. huhu. nways, we were ambling from saint cinnamon to jusco to MPH to body shop to l'occitane to issey miyake promotion area. it was quite a 'work-out' as we started walking from the garden, where we parked our car. hehe.

nways, once we're at issey miyake this lovely sales lady sprayed to us the samples and talking away about the promotion. she kept on saying how lucky we are if we bought the l'eau d'issey pour homme and that the price was half than normal. emm... tempting indeed. me, being the fan of issey miyake had made up my mind. im gonna go for one. ejam was still contemplating in his decision as there was a jean paul gaultier 'le male' going on too. huhu. in the end, he went for JPG and i bought the IM. yeahhh...!

i cant believe that we actually bought a parfume while knowing the fact that few days back the petrol rate has increased tremendously?? OMG! what has got in to us???

it was a good buy though so... i guess its worth it. and that's it people. enough 'belanja' for this month. ngeh.. ngeh!

diva plavalaguna & ruby rhod

Diva Plavalaguna was played byMaïwenn Le Besco.

Maïwenn first learned about the role of the diva by Luc Besson, who was her fiance at the time. Luc originally wanted her to play the role from the start, but Maïwenn refused to take the role, believing it to be wrong that she would be working for the same man she was in a relationship with. Luc ended up finding another person to take the role, a German model, however, the model never showed up for screening. Maïwenn promised Luc she would take the role provided the model didn't show up again for the make-up screening, which was indeed the case. She performed the opera scene in front of a live audience consisting of actors who were for the first time seeing Maïwenn in her full make-up and costume, which took three hours of morning preparations every day while filming. After seeing the film, she confessed in an interview she was disappointed about how the opera scene was constantly being interrupted and was worried her performance would go unnoticed and unappreciated by viewers. Later, however, she states discovering the large online fanbase for the Diva eased her mind.

Ruby Rhod played by Chris Tucker. he's so hillarious and superb.
perhaps i love to watch fifth element because of these two roles. huhu.

apak's day

i called my dad this morning just to say hello. i dreamt of him last nite. huhu. i miss him, perhaps? when i called, he was bz doing his morning chores and im glad that everything is ok with him and my mom. alhamdulillah, both of them are still 'kuat' dan 'cergas'. syukur..!

honestly, im not that close with my dad. i dont really share stuff with him like i do with my mom. he's rather a strict parent. i guess being a policemen (now retired), the years of training and culture of working made him what he is. the best thing is that, dad never laid a hand on me or any of my sibilings. surprise! surprise! i dont re-call being slapped or spanked by my dad. i suppose dad gave that responsibility to my mom. huhu. have you ever kena 'sebat' with a rotan or 'penyapu lidi' or even a 'cloth-hanger'?? aawww!!! sakit siot. that what happens if you're naughty and bad. when mom says "its raining, dont go out" or "balik, dah senja ni. pegi mandi". please do obey. i guess almost everybody been there and know how 'sebat' feels like kan? aren't we a better man now? hehe! you betcha!

happy dad's day to my dearest Apak!

tahniah MALAYSIA

a friend forwarded me this e-mail as below. dunno whether its true. i think i've made the right choice to leave ampang and move closer to my office here in subang jaya.

Satu keputusan yg amat menyedihkan, tapi kami terpaksa menerimanya. Nak duduk asrama, anak saya nak letak mana pula...tak terjaga. Satu keluarga menangis mlm tadi. isteri nangis sebab dia kena berenti belajar, saya nangis sebab terharu dengan keputusan isteri, anak aku nangis sebab tgk mak ayah dia nangis...terima kasih kerajaan malaysia.... Untuk keluarga yg One Man income mcm saya ni, sure banyak effek... tariff elekrik pun akan naik tidak lama lagi, berikutan diesel naik rm 1..... ahhh, malas nak pk apa lagi yg akan naik.... !! TAHNIAH MALAYSIA!

are you overweight?

huhu...! i've tried weighing myself this afternoon using this machine (dunno know what its called) that was placed in the entrance of Mydin's Mall. I fall under overweight range... WTF!
i hope the machine lied...!

happy baby

yesss... finally i could attached picture here in this very blog of mine. i know it sounds funny but for a while my blogspot has problem with its incomplete javascript thingy. becos of that all the icons, that usually appear on 'normal' posting-create page, were invisible.

thanks to jai and md amid for helping me out.

cheers guys!

naik minyak

it was raining like cats and dogs when i left the office yesterday. i punched out at exactly 5:44pm. hisham 'hitched' a ride with me as both of us were going the same direction. we took the NPE route as it would be fast and furious. After the second toll heading towards pantai dalam direction, the traffic began to slow down. cars were bumper to bumper all the way up to jalan bangsar. suddenly i saw the electronic notice board saying "BANJIR DI TEROWONG RTM. SILA IKUT JALAN ALTERNATIF". fcuk!!

didn't want to be stranded (again), i decided to beat the traffic via jalan Kerinchi. Thank GOD it was clear as hell! huhu. but as soon as we managed to squeeze ourself in, there was bad traffic at jalan pantai baharu. darn!! i quickly turned left and climbed up that 'bukit' heading to bangsar. yesss!! the road was clear but the right lane was really packed and almost at a stop. pity them. but, who cares dude! i drove up until masjid bangsar and ... argghh, met with the traffic again. emm. i guess everywhere was jam packed in KL town last nite. didn't really know what was the reason? was it because of the rain? what? what??

out of the blue, md amid called telling me that 'harga minyak naik effective midnite to rm2.70'. shoot. that must be the contribution to the traffic. nways, i decided not to drive down to SOGO. parked my car near LRT PUTRA Bangsar and took the train with hisham. my journey was smooth and i reached SOGO at almost 7pm. cool. went back to Bangsar at almost 8.30pm. looked down and saw a massive jam as cars were flocking to the shell station nearby. whatever! ive filled up my tank yesterday afternoon, prior the announcement.. so i couldnt be bothered.

left bangsar and headed home. while driving i was still trying to figure out routes that do not lead to gas stations... huhu. managed to escape and arrived home safely at 9-ish. yessss!

*sighhhh....*
this minyak thingy... makes me 'naik minyak'.

migrate

"migrate" is another song that i love from mariah carey's E=MC(2). i would play this song over and over (and over...) again in my car. cool. i really like the intro - mariah's 'whistles' + 'electronic sound-thingy' seems to fit just fine.

the other day i watched the music video 'bye bye' on MTV. loved it. simple yet interesting. mariah looked happy with her hubby who was featured in the video. good for her!

go mariah!

Mariah Carey Lyrics
Migrate Lyrics

the famous sup ani utara

the four of us (me, jai, md amid and hisham) hanged out at medan MARA last nite after work. i (actually me and hisham)left office exactly after 5.30pm, hoping to reach KL before 6pm. unfortunately, i took the wrong turn (un-deliberately) and had to deal with the bad traffic all the way to medan MARA. shite! i hate when that happens. jai and md amid had reached sooner than us, eventho' they left office minutes later. arghhh..!

we gathered inside sogo at almost 7pm and headed on to medan MARA. as soon as we stepped out from sogo it started pouring and all of us were kinda wet.. wet... wet. hehe. we reached medan MARA and headed on to the 'famous' sup ani utara. i tried the bubur ayam before and i kinda liked it. last nite i ate sup ayam and white rice. it came with pieces of cucumber and sambal. jai had the same. md amid ate bihun sup (i think?) and hisham ate bubur ayam. side dish was 15 cucuk of satay samuri. huhu.. mcm tak makan seminggu. well, rain makes you hunger for food kan? 8-)

the worst part was when i spilled my teh o suam on hisham's lap. hehe. cian dia. basah suar. sori beb. tak sengaja taw!! we had to 'lepak' there until almost 9pm as it was still raining.

i had a good time last nite. jai, md amid and hisham have been great to me. they are really my true friends and colleagues. i love to talk nonsense with them and i think they enjoy it too. huhu.. sometimes we crack jokes, gossiping and tell the story of our lives. :-0

hope our friendship lasts... insya'Allah.

sleepy head

i dont know why but im just feeling so sleepy this afternoon. its almost 3:30pm. im in the office. i cant seem to concentrate on my work and im feeling like lying down under my desk and doze off. huhu. bole ke?

argghhh. and to make thing worst, this colleague of mine, the bloody project manager keep on 'harrassing' us on status update. he's been 'hanging' out at our work station since this morning and has since been on everyone's nerves. gerrrrammmm sgt!

god why am i so sleepy?

razif's wedding - 010608

me and ejam's family went to razip's wedding at sg besar yesterday. we kicked-off from maluri at almost 11am. reached sg besar exactly at 1:30noon. about 10 minutes early before the pengantin arrived. huhu..

razif the 'montel' and funny friend of ours (ejam & me)has finally settled down. aahhhh.. blessed. and now people are pointing at us with that big Q - "hangpa bila la pulak naa...!" that what came out from cik zah's mouth (aka ejam's mom) on the way back to KL.
8-). btw, i love the nasi and lauk kenduri at sg besar. super yummy!

i cant really answer that Q actually. i guess im really content with the way i am (for now). happy to see friends getting married and having kids. to see myself in their shoes..? emm, i dont know-lah. honestly, i dont really put much thought to it. so when people ask me that Q (again..), i either smile or just walk off. hehe.. lariiiii!

"Selamat Pengantin Baru and Congrats to En Razif and Wife"
